Merry Christmas!

I actually have several blog entries to publish, but just haven’t gotten to it.  Many of them are of the journal I kept whilst on our cruise, which was fun.  One from Zach’s Eagle Court of Honor, etc.  But for now, just let me get past the Holidays before worrying about that.

When I logged on here I had over 200 comments, so I bulk deleted them all.  Most were definitely trolls just hoping to get their name into Google or something.  Why waste your time, it won’t be approved!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Holiday season, and I’ll catch up sometime after then.

Love, all the Foedes

Cruise Blog…Day 14

We woke up at about 6:30 and drove down the road (Highway 61) to a McDonalds where we got breakfast.  Mark drove through Missouri and part-way into Iowa, and then I took over close to the MN border.  Mark got us home.  What a wonderful word! It was a joyful reunion with the children.  I missed them so much.  Reese was shy around us at first, but was soon her cuddly, smiley self.  I was so happy to see them I cried.  It’s good to be home!

Cruise Blog…Day 13

Disembarkation was easy as I’ve seen it.  We were the first group off the ship, and we didn’t have to search for our luggage, as we were carrying it.  No line at customs, so we went right through.  We found a taxi right away, and were at the hotel by 8:00 AM.  We knew that we wanted to get home as soon as possible.  Mark took the first shift driving, and drove to about a couple miles into Georgia.  Then I took over through the rest of Georgia, about 45 minutes short of Chattanooga.  I took a sleeping pill and Mark drove through TN, while I slept on and off.  He stopped at a rest stop on the TN/KY border.  It was my turn, but I was still groggy, so we used the bathrooms. While walking there, we passed a tree that was full of birds and very loud.  It was creepy! They flew away after we got to the car.  Just weird!  There was free Wi-fi, so I emailed the kids, and responded to an email from my Dad.  Mark was asleep, so took over the driving and got us through all of Kentucky and ½ of Illinois.  Mark really wanted to get us past St. Louis, which as a horrible rush hour, so he did that, stopped for gas, and then we found a small town to sleep at the gas station.
